Dr. J. S. Reed PhD attained his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, a Masters in Educational Psychology,
and more than one Baccalaureate Degree (Biochemistry, Psychology, Sociology), along with several Undergraduate Minors.
He has taught at both the college and high school levels. He has further taught in the rural campuses, large inner-city schools,
in prisons, juvenile corrections facilities, in private and public schools, as a private tutor, and with the disabled.
As a licensed counselor he has also provided mental health services in prisons, juvenile corrections, county jails,
in "skid-row" facilities, on Indian reservations, in addiction treatment facilities, psychiatric hospitals, with emergency medical services
and the terminally ill, and in private practice.
He has further been a county school board trustee, an advisor to county school superintendents and principals, a school bond facilitator,
and grant writer. As a private educator he has been an advisor to home schooling students, parents, and advocates as well as
test preparation specialist. He has written plays, books, and hundreds of articles and has been interviewed numerous times on TV, radio,
and for newspaper, e-zine, and magazine articles.
As a student he has attended over a dozen colleges and universities and has transcripts for over 800 semester units.
